Examining the Remediation of Cambodia's "Mental Health Crisis"

This Pulitzer Center-supported project explores complexities vis-à-vis the “mental health crisis” in Cambodia, drawing from transcultural psychiatry, medical anthropology, and communicated through the lens of solutions journalism.

This documentary work focuses on therapeutic efforts from different spheres with the hope of fostering discussion around transnational flows of biomedicine as well as challenging assumptions about the dominance of psychiatry as the preeminent solution, highlighting local frameworks, narratives and forms of expertise.
